Hot Hot Heat

Every morning when I wake up in a puddle of sweat, I roll over to turn off the alarm clock, which not only has the time, but also the temperature. It's always disheartening when it's more than 32 degrees. I don't know why I expect different results, it seems it's only getting hotter by the day, but I still get disappointed.

The humidity level combined with the intense heat and the fact that there really isn't any AC in the house is causing a disorder. I like to call it heat madness.

I'm irritable, I'm always upset at something, always sweating, and when I can't pull on a pair of pants because my skin is so damp it drags fabric, my fits of rage can be heard throughout the neighborhood.

There are treatments for HM, but my lack of free time makes it difficult to do many of them. The number one method is going to the river and submerging in the cool water. Also good is drinking ice water at all times. That's right, at all times. Because if you think you're drinking enough water out here....hahahaha....you're not.

We also like to go to free places that have AC, like the library, but it seems like most of our town has caught onto this idea and it can be difficult to find a spot in the reading chair section.

How do you combat Heat Madness?
