Things have been annoyingly busy lately. I had three staff meetings three weeks in a row! They are always held in cities at least 1hr away, sufficed to say I never want to drive my car ever again!

But drive I must, because a friend of mine from work training in Osaka last year is finally coming to visit. He lives 2 hours north of Tokyo, making the journey down to where we live in Shikoku just under 12 hours by train, plane, and automobile. He's coming to the neighboring city of Imabari, and it doesn't feel right to ask him to take the train the remainder half hour to the house, so I'm going to drive out.

The weather has been really nice so we're going to go swimming in the river, go to the gym every morning, and cook awesome food (Dave was a chef in Australia before he moved to Japan). I hope the weather stays nice so we can do lots of outdoorsy things!
